Yesterday was... eventful.
I went to the Wyandotte art fair with my mom, one of my aunts, and my grandma. It was fun, I got a dress, a hair clip, and a pair of earrings.
This is not why I'm writing this journal.
I also went to the rifftrax live of Sharknado.
There's never been a showing within a sane driving distance from my house, and less than a week ago I found out it was showing at some AMC about an hour away from my house. I got tickets, called up my friend Ambyrfire
, and got set to go.
My breaks started to feel really loose right before I got to her house. I was a bit pissed, but I didn't think too much of it. I figured we'd be fine getting to the theater and back.
I was wrong.
We just got off the highway (thank the gods) when my breaks gave out completely. We butted into the car in front of us, who thankfully wasn't pissed and just drove off. I managed to maneuver my way into the parking lot, taking the first space farthest out. My dad came to pick us up after the show.
The show itself was well worth the near-death experience. Kevin Murphy, Mike Nelson, and Bill Corbett were on point with their riffs, and they even re-riffed a short from MST3K, 'Spring Fever', which was gold. I'm hoping I'll be able to get to the riff of '98 Godzilla next month.
